About is a free resource for finding local senior housing in Canada. We provide comprehensive information on Retirement Homes, Assisted Living, Alzheimer's Care, and Home Care in all Canadian provinces and we'll guide you through the process of choosing right senior living options for yourself or your loved ones.

WHO: Students who are legal residents of Canada and enrolled full time in a diploma, undergraduate or graduate degree program at any accredited Canadian college, university or trade school.

WHAT: One $500 scholarship will be awarded each year.

WHEN: Submissions must be received by 11:59pm PST January 31st, 2017.

HOW: Applicants must submit an essay of 750-1000 words or one page infographic.

AWARD: One $500 scholarship will be awarded; this money can be used toward tuition or books.


Submit your 750-1000-word essay or one page infographic on the topic related to senior living in Canada. For example, you can write or create an infographic about multigenerational living, issues that Canadian seniors are facing today, retirement living options for your parents or grandparents, etc.

Submissions are accepted in MS Word format for the essay or jpg for the infographic, attached to an email and sent to editor [at]

IMPORTANT: Please reference "Scholarship-2017:[your LAST NAME]" in the subject line. To be considered for the scholarship, the body of the email must include: Your first & last name, email address, phone number, university attending, planned graduation date.

If selected, you will be required to provide a proof of full time enrolment in a Canadian accredited, post-secondary institution of higher learning (college, university, or trade school) and your photo that will be published along with the winner announcement on

AWARD DATE: March 1st, 2017.

SeniorsZen may choose to not award or to withdraw the Scholarship Award for any reason.
