While tourism does drive the economy, the town does not get overly busy during peak tourist season like other tourist towns such as Jasper or Banff. The town is able to retain its slow, laid back atmosphere during these months. If you are considering retiring to a small town in southern Alberta, Pincher Creek is certainly a location to consider.
