Compassionate care at the Rosewood

From the time my Mom arrived at the Rosewood to her need for a PCH my Mom thrived under the compassionate care of the tenant companions. She loved the bus rides with Rocky and the musical activities. She also loved that all the staff knew her name. She picked up weight just from eating with friends and walked so much more than when she lived on her own. I always received a phone call at home or work when she was unwell. Mom managed to stay 1 1/2 years and was so happy, I just can't thank the staff at Alder house enough for treating my mom like your own Mom. Job well done! Very sorry to have to leave.

Wish my mother can go back

We chose Rosewood for our mother because she was no longe able to stay in your own home. Rosewood was a great transition before sending my mother to a personal care home. My mother stayed at Rosewood just over a year, unfortunately, we had to move her to a PCH because she needed assistance with turning at night and they do not have Health Care Aids that can provide this service, which I wish they did because my mother would have been able to stay longer!
it is a wonderful facility and highly recommend Rosewood to families that are considering sending their parent. It's a great environment and staff are wonderful to the residents.
Another plus, when making the decision to move your parent to a personal care home, your length of stay at Rosewood is used towards your waiting period for a PCH. In my mothers case, she was able to reduce her wait list by 1 year while being at Rosewood.

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely & homelike facilities.

I have toured the facilities twice and both times was impressed with the staff and facilities. It appears to be just the right place for my Mum.

Information

We have had 2 tours of the Rosewood and each time the staff has been amazing. We are impressed with all they have to offer. The atmosphere and services are perfect for Dad. He has been living in an assisted living place and having supportive living will be peace of mind for all of us. I am so glad that we have this option because Dad is not ready for a nursing home but needs more support. We are still in the process of getting all the paperwork in order so that we can move my Dad into the Rosewood.

Home Sweet Home!

We, my father, my brothers, my sister, my husband, and myself toured The Waverley/Rosewood hoping to find joint living for our parents. Our mother has recently been placed in a nursing home. After 65 years of marriage this is a very difficult arrangement for them both. We were thrilled with what we found. Our father hasn't smiled so big in a long, long time. Both facilities are beautiful, clean and so very cheerful and sunny. Jodie is absolutely awesome. The tour, although very informative, felt friendly and comfortable, as if we were being welcomed into her own home. She answered all of our questions and looked into anything she wasn't sure of, giving us the information we needed by the end of our visit. We had lunch in The Waverley. It far exceeded our expectations. The dining room is beautiful. The food is excellent, the menu has so many healthy and interesting options. We were also assured that if nothing on it appealed to us we could order from off the menu, too. Very impressive! Our father was very flattered to have the chef come to our table and introduce himself. What a nice touch! We, unfortunately are very disappointed to learn our mother is too far advanced in the level of care she needs to live in The Rosewood. Our father is moving into The Waverley as of June 1st, though and we are very excited for this positive change in his life. It would be wonderful if The Rosewood could ever become wheelchair accessible. Separation like this can be so very devastating and traumatic for many seniors, especially those who are already dealing with too much emotional pain. All in all, though, we all agree, both facilities are very beautiful and the services provided appear to be excellent. Thank you for this opportunity to tell you about our experience!

Exceptional facility . Would recommend Rosewood anytime.

Met with the Rosewood co-ordinator who gave me a tour and found her to be exceptional. Am currently in the process of trying to get my mom placed at Rosewood. I found it to be a terrific facility and the patients that I met all had high praise for Rosewood. Am anxious and hoping I can have her there sooner rather than later. As for the food and activities I cannot comment, but I am sure like everything else I saw on my tour it would rate an overall grade of HIGH.

Inquiry About Application Process for Rosewood

I was merely inquiring as to the process for applying to Rosewood on behalf of a family member. I did not visit or tour Rosewood. However, a representative did contact me by phone the next day. She was very helpful in answering my questions and providing information and contact numbers. I was very pleased with the interaction. I have no relationship with the provider and just selected one answer to complete the survey.
