Accommodations

Waterdown Manor is considered the most affordable retirement home in the Halton/Burlington Area. How do we do this? Well, by simply concentrating on great food, great service and great accommodations. You won't find baby grand pianos and chandeliers to add to your cost. Just a really nice place to live in a family environment that doesn't feel institutional and is home to a maximum of 59 residents. The building is apartment style with some suites having balconies and the property is adjacent to a natural ravine and creek that flows by the property. An outside deck that is always shaded creates a wonderful place to relax even on a hot summer day and listen to the sounds of the creek nearby.

Our accommodations range from semi-private, private and one bedroom suites. There are a variety of options which allows us to work with you in terms of your needs and budget.

We are committed to your safety and security: our professional staff is on site 24 hours per day, all of our spaces are accessible by wheelchair, and we have, of course, installed a highly reliable fire safety system. There is also a video monitoring system for common areas and outside of the building.

Lifestyle

At Waterdown Manor we live as a kind of large family – a family that often gets together for educational lectures, exercise classes, or for a party complete with a fiddle player or a pianist. There are organized activities that you can take part in or you may just want to get together and play cards or watch TV in our family room with other residents.

We understand that you may be living with challenges that can sometimes limit what you do on any specific day, and we work with you to bring joy and meaning into all of your days.

Dining

Our dining room is a relaxing space where delicious and nutritious meals, always based on the guidance provided in the Canada Food Guide, are served. Should you have specific dietary requirements, we are pleased to accommodate them. We provide a meal choice at each sitting so you can decide what you will have. Meals are prepared by our husband and wife chef team who take pride in making home cooked meals.

Our private dining room provides you with the perfect setting to enjoy meals with your peers with a pretty view of the natural ravine that borders the property. The dining room is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. so that you can go fix yourself a coffee or tea or grab a heathy snack.

Services

At Waterdown Manor the basic services that we provide are meals, individual laundry, housekeeping and activities. Upon you becoming a resident we create a care plan that is catered to each of your individual needs. We will work with you and your family to determine precisely what your needs are and to fulfill them in accordance with the care plan.

We offer bathing services, medication management and many more services depending on your specific needs. If you’d like to learn more about life at Waterdown Manor, you could book a tour to come see our place and meet some of our staff. Our General Manager has been working with seniors for over 25 years. We often recommend a trial stay for those who are a little reluctant to try assisted living so that you can see what it is all about and how assisted living works.

Phoned so do not have answers

I just phoned. Their location is perfect but I was inquiring about short term stays which they do not do. I would also need more amenities than what they have.
