Newton Seniors Centre is a recreational facility with programs, activities, clubs and social opportunities; many specifically for adults age 55plus. Certified fitness and dance instructors hold classes, some specializing in programs for individuals with Arthritis and Osteoporosis. Members enjoy an onsite cafeteria, organized social outings, events, and information workshops.
Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre - located in Tom Binnie Park is a multi-generational facility with 20,000 square feet of recreational space. This center is designed to cater to community members of all ages offering painting and pottery classes as well as bridge, bingo and a book club.
The Cloverdale Recreation Centre features three gymnasiums, a large fitness and weight room plus educational and social activities geared to all age groups. Adults 55+ particularly enjoy the seniors’ lounge.
The Fleetwood Community Centre offers recreation, fitness and social opportunities for all ages. Members enjoy two community halls, weight room, fitness studio and seniors facilities. Fleetwood Community Centre is adjacent to the park and library making it suited for outdoor recreation as well.
The Guildford Recreation Centre is the biggest (and still growing) recreation center in the community. Plans are to add a pool and fitness area during the scheduled expansion in 2014. Activities are held in 7200+ square feet of weight training space, three gymnasiums and more than 2000 square feet of fitness space.
The South Surrey Recreation Centre is a state of the art recreational facility with two gyms, community lounges and a dance studio! Registered programs as well as drop-in classes are geared toward all age groups including adults age 55 and up.
